DIY Natural Deodorant: A Simple Swap for Everyday Wellness
When we think about supporting our health, we often focus on what we eat or how much we exercise. Yet one of the easiest changes we can make is becoming more mindful of the products we apply to our skin every day.
Your skin is your body's largest organ, and many of us use deodorant daily without ever checking the ingredient list.
Over the years, I've become increasingly conscious of reducing my exposure to unnecessary chemicals, synthetic fragrances and aluminium-based products where possible. It's not about fear or striving for perfection—it's about making informed choices and reducing the overall load on the body.
That's why I love this simple DIY deodorant recipe.
Made with just a handful of natural ingredients, it helps neutralise odour, absorb moisture and keep you feeling fresh without relying on artificial fragrances or harsh additives.
Why These Ingredients?
Baking Soda
Helps neutralise odour-causing bacteria naturally.
Organic Coconut Oil
Naturally antibacterial and soothing for the skin.
Arrowroot Powder or Cornstarch
Absorbs moisture and helps keep underarms dry.
Lemon Essential Oil
Provides a fresh, uplifting scent.
Spearmint Essential Oil
Offers a cooling, refreshing aroma.
Lavender Essential Oil
Known for its calming and skin-soothing properties.
